Jetty 404 Error after working for some time

The http service (provided using Jetty) in JBoss stops working after running for some time. A "404 Page Not Found" error comes up after running the app server for 10-12 hrs.
The service starts working if the server is restarted. Further investigation shows that the Jetty service is unable to find the JSP files in the relevant directory although the files are very much there.
Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.

I am having the same problem with jboss3.0.8 bundled with jetty. Did you find any solution to that?

This problem is usually encountered when a cron job is cleaning up the system's tmp directory.

Try placing something like

-Djava.io.tmpdir=mytmp

in the JAVA_OPTS in the run.conf

Should solve you problem :-)
