Has there been any discussion about having the Tomcat deployer use annotations in POJOs? We (and many others I am sure) currently use XDoclet to generate the deployment descriptors. It would be nice to see Tomcat go the way of the JBoss POJO server EJB3 model.

I know this would entail quite a bit of work, but I curious to see if it has been discussed, shot down, etc... It may or may not be feasible.
