    org.jboss.tm.XidImpl interoperability between 3.2.x and 4.0.

Not sure if this concerns the new TM implementation, but I don't see other Tx forum to post.

We have incompatibilities in the way org.jboss.tm.XidImpl is implemented between 3.2.x and 4.0.x.

This prevents 3.2.x server <-> 4.0.x server communication when XidImpl instances are serialized.

We need to find a proper way to solve this, hopefully in JBoss 3.2.8.SP1 (which is scheduled for today :)

I think once JBoss Transactions is out (end of March 2006), people whom are using transactions will be encouraged to use that. Although we are targeting AS 4.0.3 for the initial release of a separate plugin (and 5.0 will be the version where it'll be the only version), given enough customer need we can retrofit it to 3.2.8 (it has been running in 3.2.4/3.2.5/3.2.6RC1 in the past).
