Cool. its important that I not have to *actually* start jboss manually. The unit tests should be able to be run automatically. Its also best to use alternative ports than a real jboss instance running mail services...

Yeah. I haven't been able to do much on it lately, but it looks like I just need to register the RARDeployer with the MainDeployer, and then scoop up my jcamail-ds.xml into the RARDeployment.

This might make a lot of sense. Anyone interested in taking this and seeing what it woudl take? I'd like to wait on the JCA 1.5 stuff unless we can do it in such a way that we can build it seperately as Mail Services is presently intended to be 1.0 probably prior to the JBoss 4.0 release and I'd like people to feel confident running it on 3.2.x. Any takers?

Sorry, I am new to this forum. What is the status of JCA in JBoss? Will the 3.x branch ever get an update to JCA 1.5 or will it always be 1.0? The reason I'm asking is that JCA 1.5 seems to have a very nice mechanism for handling incoming connections, including thread pooling, authentication, etc. (just like Andy's post mentioned). It would be nice to take advantage of that API.

Again, I appologize if this is answered elsewhere. I am still digging through the forums.

I believe that JCA1.5 will be backported to 3.x eventually. Most things will end up this way. Probably not all.
