panelMenuItem and the middle-click

Hi,

I'm playing around with the panelMenu component for navigation in a web application. I noticed that the panelMenuItem's don't respond to a middle-click (at least the way I implemented it). For navigation, I just have an action attribute in the panelMenuItem that is tied to a navigation-rule. Is there a way to middle-click a panelMenuItem so that it opens the link in a new tab/window?

you should use submit mode none and use your own controls inside. Out-of-the-box version doesn't supports this.
