1. Re: Remoting 3: One-way requests are still the black sheep
ron_sigal Oct 22, 2008 1:36 AM (in response to dmlloyd)(1) and (2) aren't mutually exclusive. :)
Unless (2) were "one-way requests ditched altogether". But I don't think we want to eliminate them. JBossMessaging, e.g., uses oneway sends. I think the choice should be (1) do it now, or (2) do it later. -

3. Re: Remoting 3: One-way requests are still the black sheep
dmlloyd Oct 22, 2008 1:39 AM (in response to dmlloyd)Well, modulo one slight correction. I want to remove it from Client now either way - the question would be to put them back now or later.

trustin Oct 22, 2008 4:33 AM (in response to dmlloyd)Who initiated the requirement for one-way messaging BTW? We could ask him/her/them first?

dmlloyd Oct 22, 2008 12:37 PM (in response to dmlloyd)Well, the interested parties are free to read this forum, but frankly I'm not interested in bikeshed responses at this point. I think at this point this is more of an implementation timeline decision - it's apparent that the change needs to be made; but when?

trustin Oct 22, 2008 4:59 PM (in response to dmlloyd)I'd prefer to remove it now and add it later when the requirement arises again. :)
