It could be possible to use the Jboss Portal 2.7.1 with JBoss AS 5.0.0 GA ??

Hello everyone,
I am using JBOSS PORTAL+JBOSS AS 4.2.3.GA
DB=HSQL.
Using Servlet and jsp.
IDE=Eclipse..
..............MY Problem...
I m writing all the programs in eclipse IDE ...
So i want to get the connection to Hsql from eclipse....
because jboss server internally contains hsql ......
can anybody help me and give any suggestions..
