rich:calendar validatorMessage

Hi

I have a rich:calendar with enableManualInput = "true" and some text in the validatorMessage property.

If i write anything but a date (ex: sdfsdfs) as the value of the calendar input, i get this message:

generalForm:fechaNacimiento: 'sdfsdfs' could not be understood as a date.

Is that a bug or i have to write a custom validator for the calendar control

this message comes from the converter not from validator. Use converter message. Works for me under 3.2.0 GA

Sorry for hijacking your thread miguel,

but I tried to use converterMessage without success (version 3.1.4 GA):

<f:view> <h:messages showDetail="true"/> <h:form> <rich:calendar enableManualInput="true" popup="true" converterMessage="WRONG FORMAT" datePattern="dd.MM.yyyy"/> <h:commandButton value="submit" /> <h:commandButton value="cancel" immediate="true"/> </h:form> </f:view>

Enter "asdf" -> shows standard converter message. Is this something that will be fixed (merged from 3.2.0) in 3.1.5 or am I missing something here?

Hello,

I've created http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/RF-2984 for converter message. Please note that it won't work in JSF 1.1 because there were no such attribute.
