    Agenda

    Start 6PM

Main topic - Wide-area Migration with Monterey, AS7, Seam, and jclouds

Once again we have another live demo for you.

Applications that span multiple clouds needn't be difficult to write: we'll demo how these technologies

use an actor-bean model to make iteasy to build even highly complex transactional applications.

We'll then show how application mobility allows you to scale and to dynamically optimise placement,
moving parts of the application to new locations on a fine-grained basis to reduce latency and improve performance.

If you like what you see, learn more at developers.cloudsoftcorp.com, jboss.org, and jclouds.org.

The Talk will be followed by Refreshments and General Discussion

    Break up about 8:30.

Aled Sage is VP of Engineering at Cloudsoft. Particular areas of interest include cloud, concurrency, fault tolerance, messaging, and how to simplify development of scalable distributed transactional applications. Prior to joining Cloudsoft, Aled was chief architect at Enigmatec Corporation. He holds a PhD (Computer Science) from the University of St Andrews.

Adam Lowe is a Senior Software Engineer at Cloudsoft. Areas of interest include distributed systems and continuous integration. Prior to joining Cloudsoft, Adam worked for the Yell group and prior to that various public-sector bioinformatics organisations.
