safx Jul 22, 2003 7:02 AM (in response to safx)Ok, thanks, but do I need to include jboss.xml in each ejb JAR file?

3. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
stuermer_g Jul 22, 2003 7:37 AM (in response to safx)Yes, it has to be in the META-INF Directory.
Normally you also need a jaws.xml and a jbosscmp-jdbc.xml.

4. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
adrian.brock Jul 22, 2003 10:06 AM (in response to safx)Actually jboss.xml is optional.
It is only needed if you want to change jndi bindings
or container configurations.
JBoss should be able to make a good guess at default values.

5. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
safx Jul 22, 2003 1:29 PM (in response to safx)Default values, such as transactional attributes, correct? I downloaded JBoss 4 over the weekend and I remember seeing jboss.dtd, but I don't remember seeing a sample jboss.xml file. Does it come with the distribution?

6. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
sjwoodman Jul 22, 2003 2:56 PM (in response to safx)There is a DTD for all the deployment descriptors in the docs/dtd directory. I'm afraid I don't know how good JBoss is at providing default values.
HTH.

8. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
adrian.brock Jul 22, 2003 7:25 PM (in response to safx)The default transaction attribute is "Required"
The default jndi binding is <ejb-name> and for
local interfaces local/<ejb-name>
The default queue or topic binding for an MDB is
queue/<ejb-name> or topic/<ejb-name>
Can't think of others right now, but you get the idea.

9. Re: JBoss deployment descriptors for EJB's?
iopi Aug 28, 2003 9:40 AM (in response to safx)Is it possible to overload attributes previously defined
in your .[ewsj]ar which have his own jboss.xml in the META-INF/ directory but dynamically?
I means, before deploy your component, and
without recompilation, Could I make a component who
read is default value from a jboss.xml file in the conf/
directory for example!
