Stateful Session Bean: Force container to have a maximum po

Hello All,

I'm reading Mastering Enterprise Beans and there is an example in the book that requires that i set the container to have a maximum pool of 2 beans. The purpose of the excercise is to illustrate how a Stateful Session bean avtivates() and passivates().....can someone please help.....I need to know where and how to configure this.....Is it configuration wide or can i set this specific option to this one bean.......

btw: using JBoss 3.2.1_tomcat

Look in the standardjboss.xml in the <JBOSS_DIST>//conf directory.

Change the MaximumSize(default is 100) under
<container-configuration>
<container-name>Standard Stateful SessionBean</container-name>

This will make it applicable to all Stateful session beans in ur server. To create for a single bean, create a configuration name that extends from Standard stateful session bean and change the max. size for that. Look in the docs for more info as to how to create a new configuration setting.
