2. Re: Return reference to another session bean
vijayk Nov 4, 2003 10:40 AM (in response to vijayk)Thank you! That pointed me to my problem. I was passing a Java bean (not an ejb) as a method parameter and within the session bean, I get a NullPointerException
Could anyone help me with how a Java bean should be passed to an EJB?

3. Re: Return reference to another session bean
adrian.brock Nov 4, 2003 10:47 AM (in response to vijayk)I don't understand your question.
If you are invoking remotely it will be serialized.

4. Re: Return reference to another session bean
vijayk Nov 4, 2003 12:34 PM (in response to vijayk)If its not too much to ask could you please help me here:
I have a Java bean (which implements Serializable) that has a HashMap. A client fills in this map and creates a Stateful Session bean and remotely invokes a method with this map. For some reason, within the session bean, I can not retrieve any keys - they are null.
Where am I supposed to check to see whats wrong?
Thank you very much.
