problem with multilanguage support in eclipse - messages.pro

Hi,
I have one problem. I want to use specific language and characters in eclipse (in messages.properties - eq. serbian character). I work with JBoss,JSF,Seam,...
But when I enter an character (serbian, or other which is not english) eclipse send error saving (and says that ISO... doesn't support that character).
I try with changing Properties and encode type in UTF8,UTF16,... but error is always linked with ISO...

All other files permits entering specific characters, only messages.properties doesn't work with them.
What will I do? Which preference I must change? Any ideas?

? eh yes, it's eclipse but which editor inside eclipse are you using to open it with.

Is it the normal text editor or is it the structured one we provide ?

structured: Red Hat html editor (Read Hat Developer Studio)

When I choose Preferences->Editors->File Associations: eq. associated editors for *.xhtml are: Web Page Editor, rad Hat Html Editor,Html editor and Text Editor, but associated editors for *.properties are: Red Hat Properties Editor, Properites file Editor (locked by 'Java Properties File' content type), Text Editor (locked by 'Java Properties File' content type)

It works. In properties editor isn't work (source tab), but in red hat editor it is processed (properties tab).

Ok - so the structured properties editor tab works, but not the source editor.

What if you use the normal plain text editor ? you can test that by using Open With ... in the right click menu of the file.

Would be great to know if it is our integration of the text editor that is buggy or its the text editor from eclipse it self

Yes, I have tried normal text editor, but without success.

ah so this is actually a bug in eclipse. I recommend you open a bug in their bugzilla (http://bugs.eclipse.org) about their standalone text editor and post the bugid link here.
