Probably yes. Since EJB2.0 it is rather commom to see all EJBs in the same EAR share the same classloader.
WAR modules, not. They have each its own isolated classloader, wich in turn in a "child" of the EJB classloader. That is why a WAR can automatically see the EJB-jar classes.
This is commom behaviour in all app servers since EJB2.0.
