1. Re: Problem Using Session Bean In A Simple Seam Web Project
maxandersen Jan 3, 2008 1:25 PM (in response to elvisisking)if you used all defaults then you created a War project; @Stateful is only sensible in context of an Ear project.
Otherwise it all sounds like something better asked about in the seam user forum. -

tpatter Jan 3, 2008 1:51 PM (in response to elvisisking)I am getting the same problem as seen by Elvis.
@Max, are you saying that instead of creating a Seam Web Project, we need to create a 'J2EE/Enterprise Appication Project' using the wizard?
Is there any way to have the IDE tell us about this problem? -
3. Re: Problem Using Session Bean In A Simple Seam Web Project
maxandersen Jan 3, 2008 3:30 PM (in response to elvisisking)no - i'm saying that on the last page of the seam wizard are two options; war and ear.
It is by default war (which uses pojo's) and that if you want to use Session Beans need to select Ear. -

Thanks! That cleared it up, but raised another somewhat related question.
What are the pros and cons associated with using SEAM POJOs only and NOT using EJB3 session beans at all.
