What component for my configuration?

Hi all!
I have a little problem for the downloading of the component,
my configuration is this:
-1 web server apache 2.2
-2 application server in tomcat 5.5.
I don't know of what version of mod_cluster I have to use for my configuration (http://www.jboss.org/mod_cluster/downloads/); and, for example if I use the version Beta2, I don't know what component I need for the installation (http://www.jboss.org/mod_cluster/downloads/1.0.0.Beta2?action=a&windowstate=maximized).
Sorry I'm french and I hope that I have been comprehensible.

PS: my operating system are Linux Open Suse

1 - You should use the bundles of Beta3. (The *.so files are compatible with httpd-2.2.10 only)
2 - mod_cluster don't support 5.5 for the moment. (See http://www.jboss.org/mod_cluster/java/config.html).

What do you advise for my installation?
May be I have to replace my Tomcat server by Jboss AS?
I want to know an other information: can you tell me what can bring an installation of mod_cluster by report to mod_jk? What are the advantages? Because my configuration with mod_jk is working good but if my application crash in my server the connector mod_jk is ever link to this server and the client have an error http.

Open a JIRA for it.
"What do you advise for my installation? " if you have tomcat-5.5 you should migrate to 6.0.x or to Jboss WEB. AS is a lot more than Tomcat.

Yes I know I can do that but maybe there is a means that if there is an error the load balancing "balance" to the other server?It's thor that that I could be interesting about mod_cluster (maybe he can do that) or if mod_jk can do that I'm interestind too.

A balancer would try the next available node. If mod_jk doesn't check your configuration.

I want to say that if mod_jk uses a balancer worker.type=lb and if configured correctly the balancer should try the next node of the balance_workers parameter.

May be you are looking for something like fail_on_status (from http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/reference/workers.html).

You resolve my problem that I'm searching since 1 week!!!
The option fail_on_status work very goog and now when I have a error 403 on an application, for example, the load balancer don't balance on it.
