jboss 2.4.2 & tomcat 4.0 w/Apache

since the server.xml file is not read for tomcat 4.0 (i think it was with tomcat 3.x right?), is it possible to have apache as a front end for tomcat 4.0? if i understand correctly, a warp connecter needs to be configured to do this. however, since the server.xml is not read, how does this happen?

is the fact that server.xml is not read due to the fact that this is a first release with tomcat 4.0? will it be changing in the future (as it did with tomcat 3.x ages ago)?

Interesting... I haven't gotten this far yet with Tomcat 4 but this seems like it could be a problem...
