sammy-t Feb 4, 2002 1:01 AM (in response to jump2jboss)Yes, you do learn a lot from retyping it. Mostly because the code in the example is bad (pay attention to the CDExistsException.java file). I'll post again if I have success at recreating the source. Good thing this is supposed to be an example, it's horribly inefficient and not scalable at all. If there where a thousand or so movies in the DB, it'd die. It seams kind of pointless to me to have demo's that only show how to do it instead of how you should do it as well. Syntax and structure are easily learned, knowing the best way to do something is much more difficult. Does anyone know of any tutorials that were designed using database optimization and built for efficiency too?

5. Re: JBoss with Tomcat examples for a newbie
sammy-t Feb 5, 2002 1:44 PM (in response to jump2jboss)heheh... as it turns out, part of the source is with the examples that you can get from JBoss.org (the samples with the interest class also has a org/jboss/docs/cmp/cd directory that is the source that is in the pdf. The parts that are missing are the jsp's and the servlet.
