Calling an MBean from the Web tier

I am now integrating part of our web tier and am having trouble calling an MBean from one of the objects used in that level. I have implemented a generic cache that uses a timer to clean itself up. I want to use the Timer MBean, but I get an exception looking up the MBean. I do not have the cdoe snippet or error here(at home), but will post it when I get to work. Does anyone know off the top of their head if I need to do ti differeent than from within another MBean?

Doh! nevermind. I hadn't realized there was a different jboss.jcml file for running with tomcat. Other things weren't working either, and that fixed it.

Sorry for the bonehead question.
