1. Re: invalid servlet URI in jboss2.4 & tomcat4.0.1
rndgatewaynet Mar 22, 2002 2:57 AM (in response to fbastian)did you try
% pwd
/../auditor
% cd ..
% jar cvf auditor.war auditor
??
Also note that in the jboss3.0b bundle that
comes with tomcat 4.0.2
the .war must be renamed to ..war -
2. Re: invalid servlet URI in jboss2.4 & tomcat4.0.1
fbastian Mar 22, 2002 6:47 AM (in response to fbastian)I am trying not to use a .war file. It works fine when I package the appl into a auditor.war file.
Where it doesn't work is when I place the application unpackaged in the jboss/deploy directory. That is, just copy the auditor subdirectory to jboss/deploy.
i am using jboss 2.4.4 and tomcat 4.0.1 -
3. Re: invalid servlet URI in jboss2.4 & tomcat4.0.1
adrianw Mar 26, 2002 7:59 PM (in response to fbastian)I have the same problem as fbastian. Deploy a WAR works fine. But deploying an upacked application does not work, I get a 404.
Doing exactly the same thing with exactly the same code in a standalone catalina works fine.
It seems that catalina with jboss doesn't know how to create a context automatically in the same way as standalone catalina does.
Any ideas on how to investigate this? -

johnnycannuk Mar 27, 2002 8:35 AM (in response to fbastian)Did you try renaming your directory to auditor.war?
A little trick that just might work...
