1. Re: How to deploy a .ear file with JBoss3/Tomcat4
feuxeu77 Apr 10, 2002 6:42 AM (in response to nganju)Hi,
In an EAR, you have a jar, a war and a file called application.xml which must be in META-INF/ directory
For the WAR, it must contains your web pages, your servlets and a web.xml in WEB-INF/ directory
For the JAR, it must contains your EJB class and 3 files jboss.xml, ejb-jar.xml, jbosscmp-jdbc.xml in META-INF/ directory
You can find the DTD for the XML files at the following addresse :
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd
http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd
http://www.jboss.org/j2ee/dtd/jboss_2_4.dtd
http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd

2. Re: How to deploy a .ear file with JBoss3/Tomcat4
adam2001usa Nov 18, 2002 10:51 PM (in response to nganju)Hi! I'm new to deployment.
Using the directory structure outlined previously, I get
C:\jboss\jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12\tomcat-4.1.x\work\MainEngine\localhost\FirstEJB\firstEJB_jsp.java:10:
package com.realtimetemps.ejb.session does not exist
import com.realtimetemps.ejb.session.First;
I suspect my .class files are not jarred right. They are in my .jar file, with the package path. Is this right?
Thanks in advance.
