JSP slow perfomance with JBoss3/Catalina

I am using Jboss3/Catalina and I think the performance of JSP compilation is extremely bad. Each modification of a JSP takes about 20 sec. I don't think it is due to a bad compilation time because I'm using jikes as compiler.

It is far slower than Catalina alone and even than JBoss2/Catalina.

I think I have something bad configured. Does someone has the same problem ?

I am also using JBoss3/Catalina.I am new to JBoss. Please guide me as to where to store a jsp file and how to call it from browser?Also, do I need any settings to be done on the JBoss or Catalina?My email id is [e-mail].

This could be a memory issue, running two large proggies against one. Just a thought.
