could someone tell me how I get jboss to recognize my app classes? I've gone through all the literature and fail to see how this is accomplished. I've put my classes in WEB-INF/classes directory but it still comes back saying that it can't find my servlet class. This should not be this difficult. I had the same app up and running under Orion in 15 minutes whereas I've struggling with jboss for weeks...please help!
Is there a classpath setting somewhere in the jboss config files?
JBoss reports an [Engine] internal error no Web.xml found, as if it was unable to read the web.xml file
I've spent a lot of time on this error and here's what I suspect: your War file has a manifest file. You can check this by typing:
jar -tvf <your warfile>
If you have the following, that is probably your problem:
META-INF/
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
If so, you can use Jar to unjar the file, then rejar without this file.
On further looking at this problem, I got it to work with a manifest file. Make sure when you specify WEB-INF it is all uppercase. I was using web-inf.
On further investigation, it looks like the problem I was having was that is specified web-inf instead of WEB-INF.
