How to execute JSP and Servlet on Jboss/Tomcat and Apache

Hi JBosses!

Greetings!

Can any of the JBosses help me out in executing simple JSP and Servlet application on Jboss/Apache/Tomcat. Here it is:

I have "login.jsp" where User enters Username and passowrd and clicks Submit. The Form Action then calls the Servlet "login.class"

My question is where to place JSP, Java and class files and how to execute my Application.

Where do I need to place WAR/EAR/JAR Files?

Pl. draw the "Directory Structure" when refering to Directorys beocs it would be difficult to figure out which directory you are refering to.

The directory structure is :

MyApp\src\login.jsp
MyApp\src\login.java (Servlet)
MyApp\src\login.class (Servlet)
MyApp\src\WEB-INF\classes\login.class (Servlet)
MyApp\src\WEB-INF\web.xml
MyApp\src\login.war
MyApp\META-INF\application.xml
MyApp\login.war
MyApp\login.ear

Run your application with

http://[IP ADDRESS SERVER]:8080/[context-root defined in your application.xml]/login.jsp

I forgot something :

WAR file creation :

You need to change to directory MyApp\src
and use the following instruction :

jar -cvfM login.war WEB-INF login.jsp
