Whyis the message "reaper started" appearing on console?

Hi,
I recently shifted to using JBoss3.0.3_tomcat4.1.2. I have clustered two nodes, with HTTPSession replication enabled.I am getting the message "reaper started" when i start the JBoss-Tomcat servers.And i see a lot of the same appearing on the console!I did not see this in my previous version ie JBoss3.0.2_tomcat4.0.4
Does this have a performance impact? How can i turn this message off?What does reaper started mean? I realise this might be a question for tomcat but if anyone could help me with this i'll be grateful.

This message does not come from the Tomcat-clustering-code. Are you sure you are running Tomcat and not Jetty?

Anyway - what is your problem with this message?
