Apache 2.0+Tomcat4.1.12 <--> JBoss 3.0.3

I would like to know if anybody has been able to deploy a J2EE app in the following environment:

1. Apache 2.0 and Tomcat 4.1.12 running on a web-tier machine.
2. JBoss 3.0.3 running on an app-tier machine.

Web-tier is serving JSP and servlets accessing app-tier EJBs on another machine running JBoss.

Could you please explain how you specified EJB external references in your Apache/Tomcat web-tier deployment?

oops! sorry ..we have JBoss + Embedded Tomcat on one machine and Apache on another.
