C:\jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12 no longer caches compiled JSPs

hey!

C:\jboss-3.0.3 with Tomcat 4.1.12 used to cache compiled JSP's across redeployments. This was a handy feature during the re-code, re-test, re-deploy process, as i did not have to wait countless minutes for unmodified JSPs to recompile. This feature seems to have gone away with JBoss 3.0.4 / Tomcat 4.1.12 and i can't figure out why. thoughts?

I have seen the same thing. I have noticed that the WAR/EAR files get unzipped into a temp directory everytime the server restarts, or the war file is redeployed.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

nope. i am still trying to find the illusive "do not delete compiled jsp's upon undeployment" setting for tomcat.
