In which folder should i store generated images?

Hi!

I use the JBoss3.2.1/Tomcat bundle.

In my web-application i use a chart-taglibary which created charts-images (jpg/gif) from data provided by my application.
The chart taglib needs some parameters, one is the absolute path to the folder in which the generated image should be stored, another parameter is the relative path to this folder, so that the jsp in which the taglib is used can access the image. (The taglib writes an html-img tag into the jsp.)

I tried serveral folders, but i didnt manage to access the images with my jsp-page.

eg i tried to store the images in :
{jboss-home}\server\default\tmp\deploy\server\default\deploy\work\MainEngine\localhost\my-app
but i didnt work.

Did anyone know where to store images which are generated dynamically from the application?

I found a solution for my problem.

In the deployment folder (jboss_home/server/default/deploy) i created a folder called 'charts.war'. In the charts.war-folder i created a WEB-INF folder in which i stored a basic web.xml.

The content of charts.war is now accessible via:
http://localhost:8080/charts/

Now, the two parameters for my taglib are:
absolute path: C:\jboss-home\server\default\deploy\charts.war
relative path: /charts/

The taglib creates a chart-image in the charts.war folder. And my jsp-pages can access the image with the image-tag: .

Correction:

You only need a folder called charts.war. (You dont need the WEB-INF folder and the web.xml).
And then you can access the content via http://localhost:8080/charts/.

I got a better way to share your files on JBoss + Tomcat . FYI.
Update the "jboss-service.xml" in the directory
"JBossHome\server\default\deploy\jbossweb-tomcat41.sar\META-INF\"
add these lines in:
......
<Host ...>
.....
