JBOSS.3.2.2-TOMCAT

Hi,
I have recently changed from Tomcat 4.1.27 to JBOSS.3.2.2-TOMCAT, and when jboss-tomcat serves up a JSP the first time, it takes too much time compiling the JSP (around 1 min!!!!).

I have read in other thread that changing in jbossweb-tomcat.sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml attribute DeleteWorkDirs to false I can prevent that the work-dirs would be deleted.

But I wonder if is possible to solve my primary problem that is the slowness of JSP compilation.

Have you had a look at using jikes as your JSP compiler? It will generally give sub-second compile times.

Yes, I have tried with Jikes but, despite that is faster than javac it takes too much time compiling JSPs.
