JSP java source won't compile

I've been experiencing a strange problem with JSP java source file in Jboss. Randomly, a file would not get compiled into a .class bytecode. Does anyone know how I can get Jboss to try to compile an JSP java code without re-starting the server??? Sometime I only see the something_JSP.java file but not corresponding .class file!

Touch the deployment descriptor in your WAR's WEB-INF/web.xml. IIRC this forces recompile.

Or if you're deploying a packaged WAR then touch that file instead.
