j2ee_junkie Mar 15, 2006 9:36 AM (in response to cyril.joui)cyril,
I do not know how your ContextListener class is implemented, but you should be looking for a "beforeContextDestroyed" ContainerEvent. This means your ContextListener needs to be a ContainerListener, and needs to be added to your Context's container listner list using addContainerListener() method.
Also, read this [/url]http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/config/context.html. Where it talks about listeners. Hope this is helpful, cgriffith -

But which object must I use to call this method ?
Can I do this directly by code ? in web.xml ?
Do you have any example about this please ?
Thanks again ! -
4. Re: Problem with contextDestroyed executed after undeploy ..
p2auljr Apr 11, 2006 11:02 AM (in response to cyril.joui)I am having the same problem with my javax.servlet.ServletContextListener. The contextDestroyed method does not execute after undeploying the WAR file and I use a virutal host alias. It only executes after I deploy the WAR file again. I think this may be a bug. If I don't use the virtual host alias, it works correctly.

If someone has something interested ...
Thanks. -

7. Re: Problem with contextDestroyed executed after undeploy ..
rajeshchande Feb 28, 2008 5:24 AM (in response to cyril.joui)Hello,
I do face this issue on my JBoss 4.0.3SP1 as mentioned at the below urls:
http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-3093
http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-3087
I can see that one solution is to upgrade JBoss to higher versions, But is there a PATCH available for 4.0.3SP1 version?
Regards,
Rajesh.
