JBossAS Bundled Tomcat Upgrade

Presently, JBossAS is bundled with Tomcat 5.5.9. The latest stable release of Tomcat is 5.5.17. In particular, it includes significant upgrades of the Eclipse JDT compiler that is used for compiling JSPs (such as Java 5 language support).

Does anyone know the plan for upgrading the bundled version of Tomcat in JBoss AS? If not, I've searched the Wiki but haven't found a docu on all the necessary changes to the Tomcat distro needed to get it working as a SAR. I'd be willing to do that work, but I'd hate to repeat someone else's effort.

Any ideas?

JBoss MAIN just upgraded to 5.5.13. You could live on the bleeeding edge.

4.0.4.GA which will be out in a couple of weeks has TC 5.5.17.
