Hello, I am considering serving images from httpd. I currently have it running with mod_jk and it forwards all requests to jboss. But I've heard different things about whether using httpd for images actually is faster. And if httpd would stop working now I'd still have complete functionality by bypassing httpd and going directly to jboss on port 8080 and images will be shown. If I change to serving images with httpd images will break if httpd breaks. I will probably start serving the images with httpd but I want to hear what you think first. Please let me know your advice.
