1. Re: My jboss server dissappears
peterj Mar 11, 2008 11:13 AM (in response to peaker40)What do you mean by "my server disappears"? What is a "catalog" and how can you tell when one has "vanished"? Please describe the behavior you are seeing.

peaker40 Mar 12, 2008 4:28 AM (in response to peaker40)Hi Peter !
Thankyou for your answer !
Tries to describe the problem a bit more:
By dissapear I mean that the server implementation called "XXXX" gets deleted from the hard disk(the directory), compareable to "minimal" and "default" directories under jboss on the hard disk.

peterj Mar 12, 2008 11:24 AM (in response to peaker40)I have never experienced an entire configuration being automatically deleted like that. Are you saying that server/xxxx gets deleted, but server/all. server/default and server/minimal do not get deleted? Also, I assume that you are running configuration xxxx.
I can think of only two possibilities. First, there is some job running on your operating system that is cleaning up unwanted directories and it is removing server/xxxx. (What operating system are you running?) Second, there is a bug in one of the apps you deployed to jbossas, and that app deletes things for some reasons, and incorrectly deleted server/xxxx. I would try removing delete permissions on the server/xxxx directory and see what errors come up. -

Thanks again Peter !
We are running on Windows 2000. As we can see it, it happens just after installation phase of our server. Runs an installation program to set everything up.
We'll try Your suggestion and checks more for whats causing this problem.
Best regards, Per.
