Standalone TomCat

Hi,

I have a security requirement that the WebServer(TomCat4.1.12) is on a different machine to the Application Server(JBoss3.0.3).

Is this actually possible?

I use form based authentication, will the credentials be propogated ok to JBoss? Do I have to do anything different to get this working?

HELP!

It's a simple enough question! I already searched the archives and didn't find a definitive answer - but it sounds like a pretty common thing to want to do.

Maybe I need to change the TomCat class name for the Realm in server.xml ? (see below)

The EJB spec talks about 'Security Interoperability' so it would be suprised if JBoss doesn't allow this.

I found a similar post on the forums saying that it cannot be done.

You are right, I did a search and came across the following post.

Because this is a requirement and not an option.
