Enabling JMX console security

Hi,

I am trying to enable the JMX console security.
I have followed the same steps as has been described in the documentation. (via web.xml, jboss-web.xml, login-config.xml)

When I tried to access the jmx console, I do get the login form for my username and password. But no matter what I enter there, it just will not let me login. The user.properties in the server/default/deploy/jmx-console.war/web-inf/classes/users.properties is admin=admin
The roles.properties has the same role name for 'admin' as has been specified in the web.xml security role-name constraint.
But even this is not working.

I would greatly appreciate any help in this regards.

Hi All,

After going through a painful exercise of figuring out what is really wrong with my configuration, i finally figured out the Jboss distribution I was using 3.0.4 with Tomcat bundle has this bug in it.

I tried to do the same thing with the JBoss3.0.2 binary and it worked like a charm.

May be somebody could post a bug with the JBoss folks regarding this.
