Control IP-range of connecting clients

is it possible to restrict the connecting ip's to a specific ip-range, so that only a bunch of clients can connect to the server?

Not possible in the default distribution AFAIK. You'll have to write some invoker code.

well actually,

I guess you could just write a client interceptor to your bean proxy that attaches the client's IP address into the invocation object and then only accept the IP range on the server side interceptor and throw an exception on everyone else.
