Unable to clear user login in JBOSS with SSL

I am using LDAPLoginModule with FORM based authentication in JBOSS 3.2.3.
Was able configure jboss properly and login/logoff successfully.
I switched on SSL and was able to login . The problem is that after login if I logoff and then try to login again I am not presented with the FORM for authentication. The only way to get the logon form is to close the browser window and open a new one.

What is odd is that if I try all this through the non-secure (http) port it work fine and am presented with the login page on re-login.

Is there some kind of caching specific to SSL ?

The SSL certificate is self-sigend.
