How To Secure Data Store Connection Strings?

Greetings,

I need to hide the database connection parameters (eg. url, name and password). I have seen ways to encrypt the login credentials but I am not sure how I can encrypt the connection strings.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if you can encrypt it, but you could always parameterize it and pass it in using arguments to the run script. This way it doesn't show up in the file if somebody is looking through it.
