JBossMQ 1.0.0 BETA standalone binary release

      Hi Guys,

I would recomend everybody start using the newest JBossMQ 1.0.0 Beta release if your not doing so allready. I's got huge performance improvments and it much more stable also.

If you want to get a binary stand alone version of the server, you can get it from:

      http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=22866&release_id=49376

      Regards,
      Hiram

Is this different than what is currently packaged with JBoss 2.4.0 final?

There is mention of JBoss 2.4.1 , but there are no binaries available, so I'm assuming it's in CVS..

So, to be clear, you've backported the JBossMQ 1.0Beta to the 2.4.0 release or 2.4.1 ?

Well the 2.4.0 release was cut before the back port could be done. So no, MQ 1.0.0 beta 1 did not make it into to 2.4.0 release. But it will be in the 2.4.1 release.

But yes you can get it from CVS, jut get the latest tagged release from the 2_4_0 cvs branch.

I've downloaded the JBossMQ 1.0 Beta 1, and I get a NPE when trying to start the PersistenceManager and ConfigurationService. Without the PM MQ fails to accept messages.

Anyone know of a work around, or a place to get updated code. The code I'm running is the latest I could find on sourceforge. Is this problem known/fixed. If it is fixed in CVS, could someone roll this to Sourceforge?

                Thanks,
                Jim

PS: What it does it does very fast. Looks like a very promising product. Keep up the good work guys!

To fix the NPEs I needed to manually create a /db/jbossmq dir. Developers, in the PersistenceManager init code, if the Datadir does not exist you may want to create it. If not or if you can't, please produce a clear error not an NPE.
