QueueRequestor deadlock

I'm seeing that for a large number of requests > 1000. QueueRequestor's seem to hang. I don't have a problem with the same code under Fiorano. I've also implemented my own QueueRequestor using either an internal TemporaryQueue or MessageSelector. What's odd is that my impl also hangs for some reason under this load. This too does not happen under Fiorano.

Could there be some synchronization issues in the JBoss QueueRequestor, the use of TemporaryQueues or the construction of message selectors? In my case I'm sending messages very rapidly, possibly more than one per ms.

Anyone have any ideas? These requests are all done within a single thread. There are similar problems in a multithreaded program. Is the JBoss QueueRequestor thread safe?

The QueueRequestor implementation is acutally provided by SUN in thier JMS spec. So I don't think it is the QueueRequestor... Is there any way you could post a small program that can reproduce the error??

P.S. what version of JBossMQ are you using???

I've written two small test programs (250 lines total), however I don't have access to a web site where I could link to these files. I'm also not sure if I should cut&paste them into this forum (unless you want).

I could E-mail them directly, or send them to JBoss-dev, or if you have another idea...

I'm running the latest JBoss cvs HEAD pull from tonight.

David found and fixed the bug:

Turns out there was a bug in the concurrency code for
SpyMessageConsumer.

For what version was this fixed? I'm having a problem with 2.4.3 which I just downloaded off the website. After a while, about an hour, QueueReceiver.receive(0) just doesn't return.
