Sending emails

Not sure this is the correct forum to post this question in. But anyway.

I have never used JavaMail before and I have a requirements in my application to send emails when certain alarms are triggered. The processing that will detect and trigger these alarms occurs in an MBean on the server. So I would like to know or be pointed in the correct direction on what is the simplest way of sending an email out from JBoss.

My environment is JBoss 2.4.4 and Win 2K.
