Messages are no longer cosumed from a queue

Hi,

I am experiencing the following problem in JBoss 2.4.4. I have a P2P message driven bean. I place a lot of requests into its queue and after a while the messages are no longer consumed from the queue. When I say a lot of messages I am talking about hundreds of messages. This message driven bean is talking to a database. Could be a timeout problem? I tested with a simple MDB with about 2000 messages and everything worked fine.

Does anybody know what the problem might be?

Did you check if you had a Out Of Memory Exception ?
Because this can happen when a slow MDB cannot keep up with the amount of message pouring in and subsequently the memory runs over.

JBoss 3 has fixed this.

i dont believe this has been solved in 3. i am using version 3 and the mdb's have stopped consuming messages. the server sits idle while there are hundreds of messages waiting in the queues.
the server is still ok and serves http requests.
anyone???

Thanks for the reply. I've tried with JBoss 3.0 and I experience the same OutOfMemory error. Is there any other way to solve this problem?

Can you post the error stack trace, the configuration of your PersistenceManager and CacheManager.
