1. Re: Configuring MDB to subscribe to a remote topic
mostofizadeh Jan 21, 2003 1:01 PM (in response to mostofizadeh)Let me add this point as well. The Jboss server in which I trying to configure the MDB to subscribe to a remote topic, also publishes messages to the same remote topic.

2. Re: Configuring MDB to subscribe to a remote topic
joseraniero Jan 23, 2003 11:01 AM (in response to mostofizadeh)Maybe an easier solution is to have your MDB subscribe to a local topic, and have an MDB on the remote server, subscribed to the remote (local for that MDB) topic who supplies messages to your local topic.

joseraniero Jan 23, 2003 11:06 AM (in response to mostofizadeh)Maybe it is easier to do it the following way:
You have your local Jboss server A, and a remote server B, where the topic you want your MDB to subscribe is. You could deploy an MDB in server B, subscribed to that topic. This MDB could send back to your server the received messages. You should have then your MDB in server A subscribed to a local topic. -

5. Re: Configuring MDB to subscribe to a remote topic
bctboss Feb 26, 2003 4:09 PM (in response to mostofizadeh)That's ridiculous. Are you telling me you can't configure an MDB in JBoss 3.0.x to listen to a remote JMS implementation for messages? This makes using JBoss in a real enterprise prohibitive.
Nice toy.
