Log4j for Applet

I have been trying to get logging turned on in my applet for a couple days and I can't figure out how. I have included the log4j.jar in the archive for the applet tag. I have tried log4j.properties in the codebase directory and it didn't work.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Not a JMS problem or JBoss problem.
Try the log4j mailing list.
