File Persistenca Manager problem

Hi, I'm using the file persistence manager under Jboss 3.2.2.
My problem is this: if I shutdown JBoss and ( for instance ) I still have messages in a queue ( and therefore on my filesystem ) they DO NOT appear to be still in the queue when the server is restarted. ( even if they're still in their directory.

Am I doing anything wrong??

It works for me.

Can you provide me with an example?
zip up the data/jbossmq directory and send it to me.
along with your queue configurations.
