If what you are saying is correct,
why isn't this workaround in UIL2 working?
/* We need to check the socketAddress against "0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0"
because this is not a valid address on Win32 while it is for
*NIX. See BugParade bug #4343286.
*/
if (socketAddress.toString().equals("0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0"))
socketAddress = InetAddress.getLocalHost();
My guess is that InetAddress.getLocalHost() is returning
localhost or 127.0.0.1
Also try:
telnet host.myhost.com 1099
what do you see inside the rubbish
192.168.100.119 or 127.0.0.1?
Regards,
Adrian
Im not sure about the bug work around. Are you sure that is still a valid bug issue? Bug parade lists it as a closed/fixed issue
Also the telnet to host.myhost.com 1099 shows 192.168.100.119 in the stream.
I can put this on two linux boxes to remove windows from the mix to test if that would help.
We run into the same problems: RMIConnectionFactory works, all other IL's fail.
So, any help would be appreciated. Is it a bug or just a network misconfiguration?
Thanks to all.
