Oracle thin driver with blob > 4k

Hi,

Has anyone encountered any problems with using Oracle's thin driver on Oracle 9i when trying to save a Blob > 4k. The reason why I ask is because the JMS_MESSAGES uses MESSAGEBLOB BLOB when creating the table in the SqlProperties when trying to store a durable subscription.

Our team has had problems previously when using the ojdbc14.jar with jdk1.4.We can't use the Oracle oci driver because of multi-threaded problems with Solaris on our production environment.

You can't. The thin driver from Oracle is a piece of crap. We haven't been able to get even the latest version to handle > 4k BLOBs. You either have to use OCI or go with a third party product.
