When to use XAConnectionFactory?

Hi,

I have a question to the following scenario:

A MDB for a remote JMS queue reads in JMS messages and writes the message content into the database.

Do I need an XAConnectionFactory for JMS?
Do I need an xa-datasource or is a local-tx-datasource enough?
