timed out message destination

What happens to messages that time out? Are they sent to the DLQ? Are they deleted? Can I configure what happens to them?

I've searched through the docs, WIKI and the forums, and can not find the answers to these questions. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean "time out" -- you mean expired? They are deleted, though not moved to the DLQ.

They will be deleted from the queue (no other configuration than message time to live). DLQ forwarding only happens in case of repeatedly failing message (re-)delivery.
